Furniture Made in Germany
An Article About the German Furniture Industry by Ulrike Wilhelmi.
“Anyone who places special value on regional products when designing their home will find an impressive variety of furniture. Many producers are deeply rooted in their homeland and stand for tradition and quality.”
Everyone has their own strategy:
“Many manufacturers carry the 'Furniture made in Germany' label from the Association of the German Furniture Industry (VDM), which was developed together with the independent certification service provider RAL. However, that does not mean that those who do not carry the label produce furniture of lower quality or less locally.”
We are honored to be mentioned as a newcomer alongside manufacturers like Cor, Arco, Knettaker, Sting, Koinor, Bretz, Freifrau, and Brühl.
“One House is a young label. Jan-Willem van den Bosch and his wife Katharina met during their studies in England. Their idea: to offer modern, timeless seating furniture of high quality at fair prices. Inspired by Dutch design, realized in Germany by various specialists who work with as many regional products as possible. So, anyone looking for high-quality, well-designed furniture that is produced as sustainably as possible and with a high degree of craftsmanship will find a diverse selection in the local offerings.”
This focus on bringing German craftsmanship with a high design standard into the present has resonated with customers across Europe and has made us an up-and-coming, future-proof furniture company. For us, sustainability is more than just a buzzword, as we not only consider the production process but also promote a sustainable lifestyle overall.
