Read more Now that working from home is part of everyday life, the desk often sits right in the middle of the living space. Yet most models look as if they belong in an open-plan office. We take the opposite approach: our desks are made from solid oak, handcrafted in a joinery in southern Germany, with the same care as our dining tables. They feel calm and light, take up little space and blend into any interior, whether in a home office, the living room or the bedroom. Desks for the home instead of the office

A home desk has a different purpose than one in an office. It is not located in a room designed solely for working, but where you also live, read, eat, or sleep. That is why our desks prioritize harmony with the room over pure function. Clean lines, slender proportions, and warm solid wood ensure that your workspace becomes part of your interior rather than looking like a foreign object. After work, it serves as a beautiful shelf or console, and the next morning, it is your workspace once again.

Solid oak, handcrafted

Our desks are made of solid European oak with a natural grain, making each piece unique. They are handcrafted in a joinery in Southern Germany, in the same workshop as our dining tables. The surface is treated to be low-maintenance, ensuring that coffee stains or water rings do not soak into the wood immediately, and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. The rounded Swiss edge provides a pleasantly soft feel, especially where your forearms rest while working. Available in six oak shades from Milk to Natural to Espresso, matching our tables, benches, and side tables.

Our model: the Light Desk

You can currently find the Hellen desk here. It is derived from our Hellen dining table, whose slim solid oak legs take up very little space. This is precisely what makes it the ideal desk: with a depth of 70 cm, it also fits into smaller rooms or a quiet corner, and it is available in lengths from 120 to 200 cm. The overhanging top gives it a light appearance, while the solid wood makes it particularly stable. The best way to check which oak shade matches your floor is with a wood sample, which we will send to your home free of charge.
