Frequently asked questions

How much does a good dining room chair cost?

A high-quality chair is made of durable materials and offers a high level of seating comfort. Good models usually start at 300-400 Euros and can cost more depending on the workmanship and quality. The Maatje dining chair combines durability with customizable upholstery: the padding ensures pleasant seating comfort – soft enough for long evenings at the table, but with enough support to sit upright comfortably – an investment that pays off.

Which chairs go best with a wooden table?

Light wooden tables harmonise well with natural colours such as beige or grey, while dark tables with black or white chairs create a modern look. The Maatje Black dining chair provides a striking contrast, while the white model brings lightness into the room.

What is the standard seat height for dining room chairs?

The ideal seat height for dining chairs is 45-48 cm, so that the distance to the table top is correct. The Maatje dining chair has a seat height of approx. 47 cm, which may vary slightly due to the upholstery.

Which fabric is suitable for dining room chairs?

The upholstery of the Maatje chairs is made of high-quality acrylic fibers, which are durable, easy to clean, and colorfast. To ensure the longevity of the upholstery, we recommend regular cleaning with a vacuum cleaner's upholstery attachment. Stains should be removed promptly with a slightly damp cloth – aggressive rubbing can damage the fabric. For stubborn dirt, professional cleaning may be advisable. Nevertheless, even after long use, the surface of our chairs remains attractive and pleasantly soft, making them a great choice for your home.
