Milk and Oat are our lightest shades. Both let the oak grain show through and complement light-colored floors, linen, and bouclé. You can get them on the Hielke, the Hellen, and the round Hielke. For a particularly bright and calm look, choose the Hoogland with white legs.

Why our light shades feel warm

Many people expect a bright dining table to be pure white. However, our surface is based on linseed oil and wax, both of which have their own slightly warm color. That is why Milk looks creamy and Oat sandy. This suits oak better than an opaque white and feels more natural. As with any natural wood, light tones can change slightly over the years when exposed to light. It is best to compare the shades in advance with a wood sample.

Bright and low-maintenance

A light-colored table doesn't have to be delicate. The hard wax seal is scratch-resistant and resistant to household liquids in accordance with DIN 68861. Unlike many oak tables that are only oiled, coffee or red wine won't soak in immediately; you simply wipe it off. To match, we offer our care set for oak.

Why isn't milk pure white?

That is due to the linseed oil in the finish. Oil and wax have a slight natural color of their own, which turns a light shade into a warm cream. This is intentional and suits oak better than an opaque white.

Which dining tables are available in beige?

Does a light-colored dining table get dirty easily?

The hard wax seal protects the surface. Coffee or red wine will not penetrate immediately and can be wiped off, provided they are not left to soak in for long.

Does the color change over time?

Like any natural wood, light oak can darken slightly or lose intensity over the years when exposed to light. This happens slowly and evenly.
