Dining Sets: The perfect combination for 4 people

A dining table with four chairs offers enough space for lively everyday life without visually overloading the room. With our curated set of the Hielke or Hoogland dining table and four Maatje chairs, you bring exactly this balance of generosity and lightness into your home.

Our dining sets combine precise craftsmanship from Germany with a characterful solid oak top and a timeless metal frame. Thanks to their powder-coated metal frame, the four Maatje chairs are very sturdy and at the same time flexible: the soft seat and back cushions can be replaced at any time. Choose from hard-wearing fabrics or leather and adapt the set to your home. That way, you don't invest in short-lived trends but in furniture that lives and grows with you.

Dining Tables with Chairs

Thoughtful room design requires flexibility. Unlike rigid furniture concepts, freestanding dining tables with chairs can be rotated, rearranged, or flexibly expanded in the room at any time if your living situation changes.

This dining set offers you precisely this freedom, as well as hours of seating comfort during long evenings. Thanks to the airy design of the individual chairs, your dining area remains visually open and inviting. No matter which setup you choose, you always benefit from high-quality materials, outstanding craftsmanship, and timeless design that will bring lasting joy.

Frequently asked questions

What's the ideal table size for 4 people?

For four people, we recommend a table length of 140 cm or more. Our dimensions of 140 x 90 cm are perfect for compact spaces, as two chairs can comfortably fit on each long side. If you regularly need space for guests at the ends, you can easily place an additional chair at each end, creating space for up to six people.

How much space do I need in the room for the complete dining set?

To ensure your dining set looks its best and remains functional in the room, you should factor in space for chairs in addition to the table size. Ideally, there should be a distance of 80 to 100 cm between the edge of the table and the nearest wall or piece of furniture. This allows everyone to comfortably slide their chair back and get up with ease.

Can I mix and match the colors of the chairs and the table in the set?

Yes, absolutely! That's what makes One House so special. You can choose the color of the solid oak table top (e.g., Milk, Natural, or Espresso) to match your living style. For the four Maatje chairs, you have a choice of two different metal frames as well as numerous fabrics and leathers – so you can easily add individual color accents.

How do I properly care for the wooden table and upholstered chairs?

We offer our own care kits for our tables and upholstery fabrics. For light soiling, simply wipe your wooden table regularly with a damp cloth. As our tables are stained, moisture does not penetrate the surface as quickly, and the tabletop stays beautiful for a long time. Our upholstery fabrics are stain-resistant high-performance fabrics. Should an accident occur, simply blot up liquids with a cloth; stains can be removed with a little water and dish soap. For a thorough refresh, we recommend professional upholstery cleaning every few years.

What happens if my decor changes or a chair cushion wears out?

Thanks to our modular system, you don't have to buy new chairs. The soft seat and back cushions of the Maatje chairs can be replaced in just a few simple steps. You can reorder new covers in a color of your choice at any time.
